How appropriate that with Tropical Storm (probably soon to be Hurricane) Katrina bearing down on Florida, today's Psalm (18) contains this:

"He made darkness his covering around him,
his canopy thick clouds of water.
Out of the brightness before him there broke through his clouds hailstones and coals of fire.
The Lord also thundered in the heavens
and the Most High uttered his voice,
hailstones and coals of fire.
And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them;
he flashed forth lightenings, and routed them.
Then the channels of the sea were seen,
and the foundations of the world were laid bare,
at thy rebuke, O Lord,
at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils."

Sister Mary Alternative: "when god closes one door, god opens another ... but it's hell in the hallway."

Let every creature rise and bring
Peculiar honors to our King;
Angels descend with songs again,
And earth repeat the loud Amen.

Not sure what I'm going to do with this space yet, but here it is.
